This piece is about the kind of connection that feels like home regardless of where you are. He carries everything on his back. She holds on. Her hair catches the wind like it's trying to pull them apart, but it won't. Not yet. Maybe not ever.

Rendered in fine ink linework with loose gestural detail, this is one of my favourite pieces from the Doodle series — quiet on the surface, a lot going on underneath.
